A part-time position for a ballroom dance instructor to teach free group classes to the community approximately 4 hours per week. Our races help fund this project and we are interested in providing quality ballroom dancing around the country and specifically teaching inner-city children to build morale and help keep them off the streets.
Duties include:
Group Classes - As little as one hour per week or as many as eight hours a week of group classes to be offered to the community. Community members will be taught how to ballroom dance on an instructor level. After they have been learning for a few months, they will help in our volunteer project by assisting at races or by teaching in local elementary schools to help our youth. Instructor is paid by the funds brought in by our races & is encouraged to help out with the races if possible. We have a training syllabus to aid in learning different group classes to teach & our professional staff travels the country to teach upcoming instructors techniques as seen on Dancing With the Stars.
Private Instruction - Private instruction is provided by certified MOVFitness instructors. Our instructors are MOVFitness Certified and/or DVIDA certified. Many students in the group classes and participants at races inquire about personal instruction as well as members of the general community. Lessons are taught in local community centers at affordable rates.
Competition - Certified dance instructors have the opportunity to take their dancing to the next level and compete around the world. World class instruction is provided to these individuals and prizes are offered at the competitions. We also have the opportunity to be in upcoming DVDs, commercials, and photoshoots to qualified dance instructors.
